How to Make Cheesy Dill Bread
Cheesy Dill Bread is simple and quick to make; no yeast is needed. Simple ingredients create an aromatic bread that has a crispy crust and a soft, airy texture. Things You'll Need
- 2/3 cup dry powdered milk
- 1 tbsp. baking soda
- 1 oz. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp. dill weed
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 3 tbsp. cold water
- Four slices of bread
- 4 tbsp. sugar
- 1 oz. cheddar cheese
- 2 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- 2 eggs, separated

Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Toast the four slices of bread in the oven until they're dried out. Remove them and crush them into crumbs.

Combine the dry ingredients, bread crumbs, powdered milk, sugar, baking soda, grated cheese, parsley, dill weed and onion powder in a large mixing bowl.

Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks are formed.

Fold the egg whites gently into the batter.

Pour the batter into a 9 1/2- x 5 x 3-inch nonstick loaf pan.

Bake for approximately 13 minutes or until the bread is raised and firm to touch.

Remove bread from the oven, and cool it in the pan or on a wire rack for 10 minutes.

Remove from the pan and serve.

Tips & Warnings
Fresh dill weed can be substituted if you dry it in the oven and and crush it. Fresh dill is strong, so use only a pinch.
