  1. On a Mac

      Open the Finder.

      Click "File" and choose "Create New Burn Folder."

      Name the burn folder after the file folders you will burn to DVD.

      Open the burn folder. Drag the file folders you wish to burn to DVD into the folder. Alternatively, create new folders within the burn folder by clicking "File," then "New Folder." Drag the files you wish to burn to a DVD into the folders you create.

      Click "Burn" inside of the burn folder when you are finished adding files and folders.

      Insert a blank DVD-R into your computer and it will burn a DVD with file folders.

      Eject the DVD-R when burning is complete.

    On a PC

      Insert a blank DVD-R into your computer. Select "Burn Files to Data Disc" when asked what you'd like to do with the blank DVD.

      Name the DVD after the file folders you will burn to it.

      Click "Show Formatting Options," then choose the "Mastered" formatting option.

      Click "Next," then drag the file folders you wish to burn to DVD into the empty burn folder that opens. Alternatively, create new folders within the burn folder by clicking "File," then "New Folder." Drag the files you wish to burn to a DVD into the folders you create.

      Click "Burn to Disc" inside of the burn folder when you are finished adding files and folders. Your computer will proceed to burn a DVD with file folders.

      Eject the DVD-R when the burning process is complete.
