How to Drain Coolant on a 2002 Firebird

You should change the coolant in your 2002 Pontiac Firebird at least once a year. Check the condition of the coolant regularly for any signs of debris or discoloration. Drain the coolant in the radiator before flushing the cooling system or adding fresh coolant to the system. Pontiac recommends using DEX-Cool antifreeze in your Firebird's radiator. Buy coolant from an auto parts retailer and change it at home.
