How do I Replace Colored Flood Lights With LED Lights?
Perhaps the easiest and most immediately effective "go-green" solution is energy efficiency. While compact fluorescent lights or CFLs are more efficient than regular incandescent bulbs. LEDs are even more efficient than CFLs. In fact, LED lights last 10 times as long as CFLs and use 10 percent of the energy a regular incandescent does. Even specialized outdoor lighting, like colored floodlights, can be changed to LED with only a visit to your favorite light bulb retailer. Does this Spark an idea?

Visit your preferred light bulb retailer to select the appropriate bulb.

Head to the floodlight section of the light bulbs and look for the LED bulbs. Pull out your old floodlight bulb and check the wattage. Most regular floodlights range from 75 to 120 watts for which the LED equivalent ranges from 9 to 25 watts.

Browse the LED floodlight bulbs with the required wattage to select a color. LEDs come in red, yellow, green and blue.

Purchase your colored LED floodlight bulb and take it home.

Turn off the switch to the floodlight and screw in the new LED floodlight bulb. Turn on the floodlight switch to ensure it is working properly.
