How to Troubleshoot a Toshiba Bluetooth
Bluetooth technology has negated the need for irksome wires when on the go. Unfortunately, like all electronics, Toshiba devices are susceptible to the eventual degradation of quality due to wear and tear or lack of proper maintenance. Thankfully, there are some easy steps that can be taken to reclaim functionality in many cases.

1
Wear your Toshiba Bluetooth directly above your cell phone. In other words, if you clip your phone on the right side of your body, wear your Bluetooth headset on your right ear as well. This lowers the distance between the two devices and allows for clearer communication. Many issues with static, garbled audio, distorted popping and crackling can be attributed to wearing your headset and cell phone on opposite sides.

2
Power your Toshiba Bluetooth device off and then back on. This type of reset often resolves low-level issues that have suddenly manifested. On most models, this is accomplished by holding in the multifunction key normally used for answering and ending calls until the headset powers down. Hold the key in again until the device powers back on. Test for the resolution of the issues you are experiencing.

3
Delete the pairing between your Bluetooth device and your cell phone. On your phone, this is generally accomplished done by pressing the "Menu" key, followed by "Settings," "Bluetooth Settings" and then highlighting the connection labeled "Toshiba." Press the "Menu" key again and choose delete. Because steps vary from phone to phone, you may need to refer to your user manual for alternative steps if needed.

4
Place your Bluetooth device into pairing mode. On most Toshiba models, this is done by holding down the multifunction key until the blinking blue light becomes steady. This means the device is now ready to be reconnected with your phone.

5
Re-establish the pairing between your phone and your Toshiba Bluetooth device. On your phone, this is normally done by pressing "Menu," "Settings," "Bluetooth Settings" and then selecting "Scan for devices." Your phone will scan for a few moments and then show your Toshiba device as an available option. Select it and wait for the pairing to finish.

Tips & Warnings
Turning your Toshiba headset off and then back on at least once per day is a good way to keep it running smoothly. It needs to be periodically reset just like a computer to maintain effective operation.
Contact Toshiba at 1-800-631-3811 for repair or replacement options. If the issues have yet to be resolved, they are likely due to hardware problems that necessitate the manufacturer's involvement.
Be careful not to leave your Toshiba headset in the car during the sunny part of the day. High temperatures inside your car can damage its internal components, leading to malfunctions that cannot be repaired due to your warranty being voided.
