How to Mount a Chevy Bow Tie Emblem on a Grill
Chevrolet is a vehicle brand that was founded in 1911 and acquired by General Motors in 1917. Chevrolet or "Chevy" is so popular that is often synonymous with GM. The logo or emblem of Chevy is a "bowtie" and was first used in 1913. No one is certain where the emblem originated but it has become a fashion statement in America. There are many ways to mount this emblem on a grill, from tape or wire, to arc welding. However, soldering is probably the most effective for the cost. Most people will either have or have access to a soldering iron.

1
Warm up the soldering iron. Plug it in and turn it on to let it warm up. Make sure that the iron is not touching anything flammable. An iron comes with a stand, so if you have it, you should use it.

2
Clean off the area of the grill that you want to mount the symbol on. Use a scouring pad or a rag to clean off the stuck-on dirt and grime.

3
Coat the tip of the soldering iron in solder. You want to make sure the entire tip is coated, so that there is no flux residue on there. Wipe the solder off with the wet sponge.
-
4
Hold the emblem against the grill and tape it down. This is a temporary measure so that you can solder it on.
-
5
Hold the soldering iron in your dominant hand and the solder in the opposite hand. Press the tip of the soldering iron against the grill where it meets the emblem. As it heats up, press the solder against the same spot and let a small bead form and then dry. Repeat this around the entire emblem to hold it in place. Remove the tape when you are finished.
