How to Reset a Default Browser in Windows Mobile

Many Windows Mobile phones use either Internet Explorer or Opera as the default browser. If you change your browser and find you prefer the original default browser, reset it. You don't have to use the default browser provided by Windows Mobile. Reset the default browser at any time to the browser of your choice. Many browsers set themselves as the default the first time you use them, resetting the default browser for you. Further customize your Windows Mobile phone by resetting the default browser.

Instructions

1. Open the browser you want to use as your default browser on your Windows Mobile phone.

2. Select the "Settings" or "Tools" menu, depending on your browser.

3. Choose the "Programs" or "Preferences" tab, depending on your browser.

4. Select the option to check to see if the browser is the default browser the next time the browser is opened.

5. Press "OK."

6. Restart the browser.

7. Select "OK" to reset the browser as your default browser.

Tips & Warnings

• If you have multiple browsers installed and only wish to use one, remove all other browsers from your device. This will make the remaining browser your default browser.
