How to Make Baby Flower Headbands
Strangers will find it hard to mistake your sweet baby girl for a precious baby boy if she is sporting a huge flower headband on her head. You can purchase such flower headbands at upscale baby boutiques and many online stores, but the prices can be quite steep. Instead, save your money and make a floral headband to match every outfit in her closet using inexpensive supplies from the craft or dollar store. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Cut the stem off a silk flower right at the base of the petals. Remove the plastic piece from the center of the flower if there is one. Cheaper silk flowers, such as those from dollar stores, generally have plastic stems and pieces in the center that hold the flower together. More costly silk flowers, such as from craft stores, are usually put together with wire stems wrapped in floral tape or some other cloth-like material, in which case there is no plastic to remove.

2
Glue the layers of the flower back together with a low-temperature hot glue gun, if plastic pieces were holding it together. Otherwise, leave the flower alone. Glue a small rhinestone in the center of the flower with the hot glue gun, if you have to glue it back together. You can use craft glue to cover the center piece of a more expensive silk flower, if you'd like.

3
Glue the flower onto an alligator hair clip, using a generous amount of hot glue on the bottom center of the flower. Let the glue cool for a couple of minutes, holding the clip open so it doesn't glue shut.

4
Clip the flower onto the cloth baby headband. When your child gets too big to wear the headband, remove the flower and use it as a hair clip instead.
