How to Trace IP History
Every website a user visits while navigating the Internet has an Internet protocol address. A user who visits a series websites may wish to know the IP addresses of the websites he has visited. To do so, a user needs to look in the temporary Internet files to view the websites he has visited and then ping the computer to look up the IP address of each individual website.

Open the Internet Explorer browser and click the "Tools" option. Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.

Select the "General" tab and choose "Settings" under "Browsing history."

Click "View files" from the "Settings" dialogue box.

Look over the Internet addresses from the list that appears. Click the "Start" button and select "Run."

Type "ping <Internet address>" in the Run window and click "OK." Note that "Internet address" is one of the Web addresses you looked up earlier.

Wait for the message "Pinging <Internet Address> [IP Address] with 32 bytes of data: . . ." to appear. Note that "Internet Address" is the website you entered in and "IP Address" is the IP address of the website. Do this with every website from the temporary browsing history file.

Tips & Warnings
The temporary browsing history file is easy to erase. If it is erased, you will be unable to trace IP history.
