While there are a variety of file types that are compatible with the iPod, there are also a number of formats that are not compatible. You can use your iTunes program to change your video file type so that it will sync to your iPod.

      Open your iTunes player on your computer and click on the video in your "Movies" library page.

      Click "Advanced" in the main menu with your video highlighted.

      Click "Create iPod or iPhone Version" in the "Advanced" menu, and your file will be converted in your library.
