Reinstall a new connection with Wizard XP.

You can reestablish a new Internet connection at any time using the Network Setup Wizard with the Windows XP operating system installed on your computer. If you remove an old connection, then you may need to manually connect to a new connection whether it is wired or wireless. A new wired connection can automatically be detected, but a wireless connection must be used with the Network Setup Wizard, which you can access with the Windows XP installation CD or from your Network and Internet Connections settings.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the "Start" button from the Windows XP desktop and then click the "Control Panel" option.

    • 2

Select the "Network And Internet Connections" option from the "Pick A Category" section. Click the "Wireless Network Setup Wizard" option.

    • 3

Click the "Next" button from the "Welcome To the Wireless Network Setup Wizard Page". Enter a name for your network and then select the "Automatically Assign A Network Key" or "Manually Assign A Network Key" option.

    • 4

Click the "Next" button. Select the "Use A USB Flash Drive" or "Set Up A Network Manually" option.

    • 5

Click the "Next" button. Wait for the network to be found and connected, and then click the "Finish" button.
