How to Convert AAC Files to MP3 in Windows
AAC is the default format that iTunes uses when importing CDs or other music media into iTunes. If your music library is full of AAC music media, you can convert them to a more universal file type, such as MP3. MP3 is a universal audio format and can be played on most MP3 players on the market today.

Download a free converter, such as Koyote Free MP3 WMA Converter 1.9.1. Install to your computer.

Open Koyote Free MP3 WMA Converter 1.91 from the "Start" menu.

Select the "Audio Converter" tab and drag your AAC media into the window.

Select the "Output Format" pull-down and choose "MP3."

Select the "Output Folder" location for your newly converted MP3 music. The default location is "My Music."

Click "Convert Files."
