How to Get a Good Desktop Wallpaper

You can easily design your own desktop wallpaper for your computer.

A desktop wallpaper is a decorative background image that is displayed on the desktop of your computer. Custom-designing a wallpaper for your computer is a creative way to show off your individuality. There are some tips that will ensure your wallpaper comes out looking crisp and clean.

Instructions

1. Choose an image you would like to use for the background of your wallpaper. You can choose a personal photograph, or do an image search online.

2. Check to make sure the image you're using is large enough to work as a desktop wallpaper. The image should be 1000 pixels or more. If the image is too small choose a different one, as a small image will show up blurry when used as wallpaper.

3. Save the image to your photo files on your home computer.

4. Open the image from your files and right click on the photo. A window will pop up. Click on the subject that says "Set as Background."

5. Click "Yes" on the window that opens asking if you're sure you want to use this image to set as your wallpaper. Your desktop will now display this image as a wallpaper.
