How to Transfer Outlook Files to Microsoft Mail

Transfer Outlook Express files to Microsoft Mail.

Microsoft Windows Mail is a free mail application that comes standard on all PCs that run on the Microsoft Windows operating system. You cannot transfer files from Outlook to Microsoft Windows Mail; however, you may transfer Outlook Express files to Microsoft Windows Mail. Microsoft Windows Mail has a somewhat similar design to Outlook Express and both programs perform similar functions.

Things You'll Need

• Outlook Express
• Microsoft Windows Mail

Instructions

1. Click "Start" and select "All Programs."

2. Click "Windows Mail."

3. Click "File" and select "Import," then "Messages."

4. Click "Microsoft Outlook Express" and select "Next."

5. Click the box next to "Import mail from an OE6 store directory." Click "OK."

6. Click "Browse."

7. Navigate to your "Outlook Express" folder. Click the folder once. Do not double-click.

8. Click "Select Folder" and select "Next."

9. Click "All Folders" and click "Next."

10. Click "Finish."
