1
Place a stencil of your choice over the broadest blank part of the coffee cup. Depending on the occasion, the stencils can depict flowers, hearts, festive designs or anything you wish.
-
2
Fill in the stencil using a marker of your choice. Paper coffee cups are usually white or shades or white and beige. This makes it easier to use a wide range of colors for your decorating. You can even personalize the paper cup by writing a name on it in cursive or print beneath the stenciled area.

3
Go over the outlines of the designs on the paper cup with a glitter pen--these pens allow you to deliver touches of shimmery color with accuracy.
-
4
Snip a length of ribbon from the roll measuring about 10 inches long. Tie the ribbon around the center of the coffee cup and make a simple bow. Do this either below or above the decorated designs. Choose a ribbon color that corresponds with the event. If it's a personalized cup, choose the person's favorite color.

5
Let the cup dry for 10 or so minutes before serving coffee or any hot beverage in it.
