How to Extract an ISO From a DVD to a File
An ISO file is a complete representation of the video found on an entire DVD. To extract the video from a homemade DVD and save it on a hard drive as an ISO file, use a PC disc-copy program. There are a number of these programs--the majority being free of charge--which can copy a DVD and save it as an ISO file. The programs all work in a similar manner that does not require computer expertise. Neither the DVD or the computer will be negatively affected by extracting the contents as an ISO file.
