How to Stop Animations in Flash

While using Adobe Flash with any deal of success takes training and practice, there are certain functions within Adobe Flash that are not necessarily difficult to complete. One of these functions is stopping an animation. When you create an animation in Flash, the animation will continuously loop unless you include a stop command within the Adobe Flash document.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Adobe Flash and click "File" and "Open."

    • 2

Double-click the Flash animation document for which you want to provide a stop command. The document will open.

    • 3

Click the "Actions" layer in the "Timeline" in the Flash document.

    • 4

Click on the last frame of the timeline.

    • 5

      Press the "F6" key.

    • 6

Click the "Windows" menu at the top of the screen and choose "Actions."

    • 7

Type "Stop();" in the "Actions" window.

    • 8

Press "Ctrl" and "S" to save the document. The animation now will stop instead of continuously looping.
