How to Fix a Blast Virus

How to Fix a Blast Virus thumbnail
Repair a Blast virus with antivirus software.

The Blast or Blaster Virus affects Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems. Removing the Blast virus is urgent because it compromises your personal data and system security. It spreads throughout computer systems by connecting onto TCP ports and networks. It attaches to your registry files and creates malicious registry entries that hide within your system. Remove the Blast virus immediately to prevent system damage.

Instructions

    • 1

Install the free edition of an anti spyware or antivirus application that will get rid of the Blast virus, such as CounterSpy Antispyware, Worm Guard 4.0 or Kaspersky Anti-Virus Trial (see Resources).

    • 2

Complete the onscreen prompts within the antivirus' setup installation. Agree to the software's license agreement.

    • 3

Launch the antivirus and scan your entire drive for Blast viruses.

    • 4

Select each of the Blast infections once the scan is complete. Click the repair option to remove the infections.

    • 5

Reboot your system once the process is complete. Scan your PC once again to ensure that the infections are completely gone.
