Instructions

    • 1

Attach your skimmer net to a telescoping pole. Make sure the pole is long enough to reach at least the center of your above ground pool.

    • 2

Use the skimmer to clear out all the surface dirt, debris and organic matter from the pool's surface.

    • 3

Use a pool wall brush to clean the side wall of your above ground pool. Above ground pools do not require a specialized brush to clean. A standard pool wall brush will be enough to loosen any debris from the sidewalls of your pool.

    • 4

Turn on your swimming pool vacuum's power supply or connect it to your pool's circulation system per the manufacturer's instructions.

    • 5

Place the vacuum cleaner on the floor of your above ground pool. If you don't have a deck, you may need to stand on a bench or step ladder. Clean the bottom of the pool using long, slow motions. Overlap as you go to ensure you clean all of the dirt and debris from the floor and that you loosened from the sidewalls.

    • 6

Check your pool's strainer baskets. These can become jammed with organic matter, such as leaves and sticks. Remove any debris inside the baskets. Baskets of above ground pools are located on the side of the pool.

Tips & Warnings

  • Clean your pool walls, floor and baskets at least once a week. Remove debris using the skimmer at least once a day.
