Both Internet Explorer and Firefox web browsers offer a feature that allows you to change the default fonts that are used by the browser, as well as the fonts that are used on web pages. By overriding websites' font selections, you can choose fonts that are easier for you to read. You can also change font sizes or colors to make web pages even easier for you to read.

Instructions

      Click "Tools."

      Click "Options."

      Click "Content."

      Change the default font and font size with the drop-down menus under the "Content" tab. Click "Colors" to select a specific font color. Click the "Advanced" button and uncheck "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above" to force your default font selections to be used on every web page. Click "OK."

    Internet Explorer

      Click "Tools."

      Click "Internet Options."

      Click the "Colors" and "Fonts" button at the bottom of the main Internet Options panel to change these selections. Click "OK" to save your changes. Click "Accessibility" and check the three boxes to allow your font selections to take precedence over the web pages' selections.
