You can insert the copyright symbol in your document via symbol key codes.

Keyboard symbol codes add personality and fun to your Microsoft documents. You can insert symbols such as hearts, check marks and the copyright symbol using the keyboard codes provided by Microsoft. Although these symbols are not physically located on the keyboard, inserting them in your document is not difficult.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate the cursor to the location you wish to insert the code.

    • 2

Enable the "Number Lock" located on the right side of your keyboard above the number seven.

    • 3

Use the keyboard codes provided by Microsoft to identify the symbol you want to display. Select and hold the "ALT" key and simultaneously type in the four digit code that correlates to the symbol you wish to use. For example, if you wish to type ©, hold the "ALT" key and type 0169 simultaneously.
