How to Deactivate a Device on Netflix

Netflix is an Internet-based video service. You can rent DVDs through the mail, and Netflix has also implemented a "Watch Instantly" feature that allows you to view select Netflix movies over the Internet on a Netflix-compatible device such as a computer, some game consoles, and some Blu-ray players. You can activate up to six devices at a time, so if you want to add another device, you will need to deactivate one of the six that are currently active.

Instructions

1. Go to the Netflix website (see Resources) and enter your login email and password. Click "Continue".

2. Click on "Your Account & Help" in the upper-right corner of the home page.

3. Click on "Manage Netflix-ready devices and computers".

4. Click on the "deactivate" button and click the button to confirm the deactivation.
