How to Remove Numbers From a SIM Card on the Palm Centro

Although a SIM card's primary function is to connect a phone to a mobile network, the card also stores up to 100 phone contacts. In some phones, the SIM card contacts show in the same list as the contacts saved on the device's internal memory. If you have a Palm Centro, you must set the phone's settings to show the SIM contacts to edit them. Once you are displaying the SIM contacts, you can edit or remove them through the menu controls.

Instructions

1. Press the Call button on your Palm Centro. Click "Contacts."

2. Press the Menu button. Click "Options." Click "Preferences."

3. Click "Show SIM Phonebook."

4. Press the Back button. Highlight the SIM card contact you want to remove.

5. Press the Menu button. Click "Delete Contact." Click "OK."

Tips & Warnings

• If you would like only to remove the phone number in the SIM card contact entry, you can click "Edit" instead of "Delete Contact." You can delete the number and leave everything else intact.

• Deleting a contact from the SIM card on the Palm Centro is permanent. If you would like to use the contact again, you must reenter it into the system.
