Things You'll Need
- Ladder
- Slip-resistant shoes
- Wire brush
- Whisk broom
- Caulking gun
- Plastic roofing cement
- Putty knife

Access the damaged tile by ladder. Wear slip-resistant shoes to prevent sliding off the ladder or roof.

Scrub the cracked tile with a wire brush to remove all dirt, moss or debris. Sweep away the loose debris with a whisk broom. Make sure the tile is completely clean before proceeding with any repairs.

Fill a caulking gun with plastic roofing cement. Insert the roofing cement from the caulking gun into the crack.

Spread an even layer of plastic roofing cement over the length of the crack, using a putty knife. Read the manufacturer's directions for information on how much cement to apply. Allow the roofing cement to air-dry.

You can substitute a garden trowel for the putty knife.
