How to Get Free Ring Tones on an LG Rumor

Like most other cell phones that are around these days, the LG Rumor offers a limited number of built-in ring tones. To add a variety of tones, you have to purchase and download them from your network provider. A free alternative is to get the ring tones from a third-party website on the Internet. You have to download them first to your computer, and then transfer them to the phone with a cable.

Instructions

1. Go to a website that provides free ring tones for LG call phones. Some of these websites include Zedge, Mobile9 and Brinked. These websites let you download free ring tones without registering.

2. Preview the available ring tones on the website. You can select whichever ones you like and click "Download" to save them on your computer. Save them all in one place for easy access.

3. Connect your LG Rumor to the computer using the phone's USB cable.

4. Press "Menu" on the phone and go to "Settings" > "Tools" > "USB Mode" > "Mass Storage."

5. Select "Yes" and press "OK." You computer will now automatically detect the device and will open its folder on the screen. You can drag and drop the downloaded ring tones to this folder.

6. Click the USB device icon on the computer's taskbar. Follow the on-screen instructions for safely unplugging the USB cable.
