How Do I Create DVD & Jewel Case Labels for Macs Online?
On a Mac, iTunes makes it easy for you to print professional-looking CD and DVD labels for your media library. Whether you have purchased a digital file of a movie and have burned it to DVD and want to make a label for it, or created a mixed CD with your favorite songs, you can print attractive labels for your items within minutes.
Things You'll Need
- Mac computer running operating system 10.5.8 or above
- iTunes running 10.0 or higher
- Printer
- 8 1/2-by-11 inch photo quality paper
- Scissors or paper cutter

Check that your printer's cable is plugged into the Mac. Load photo quality paper into the paper feed portion of the printer.

Open the application iTunes on the Mac. In the left sidebar of iTunes, click on a music playlist or DVD title. If you are making a music CD label, click on the Playlist so that it is highlighted; if making a DVD label, simply select the Movies heading and then click on the name of the movie.

Select "Print" from the "File" menu.

Select "CD jewel case insert" next to the word "Print."

Choose from the eight choices next to the word "Theme"; you will see a thumbnail preview of each option.

Make a CD cover by selecting "Single Cover" from the "Theme" menu.

Click "Print." The cover and song titles will come out in one page.

Cut out the cover insert and the song title insert. These labels fit perfectly into a standard CD or DVD clear plastic case.
