How to Load a Buttoneer

How to Load a Buttoneer thumbnail
Load up the Buttoneer to repair buttons, sew hems and make crafts.

Buttoneers are convenient devices for repairing clothing and cloth items. They replace buttons, fix torn hems and make craft items. The Buttoneer attaches items on cloth with a thin, plastic strip instead of thread, enabling the repaired item to be treated like any other item of clothing. A person may wash and dry the clothing like any other garment. The hardest part of using a Buttoneer is loading the plastic fasteners into the fastener's slot.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the plastic fastener into the fastener slot on the Buttoneer. The slot is about 1 inch above the tip of the needle and runs straight through the Buttoneer. It only goes in one way, so if you put it in wrong, it pushes it out when you tighten it into place.

Find the small wheel on the right side of the Buttoneer once the fasteners are in the slot. It is about 1 1/2 inches above the tip of the needle.

    • 3

Turn the small wheel to pull the fasteners' ends into place. A light clicking noise indicates that the Buttoneer is loaded and ready for use.
