How to Insert a Bluetooth Card on a DV6000
The HP DV6000 notebook computer includes a PCI Express slot that can be used to connect PCI Express hardware cards, such as a Bluetooth adapter, to the computer. Bluetooth is a protocol used to transfer data wirelessly over a short distance. Many computer components utilize Bluetooth, such as mice, keyboards and headsets. Bluetooth differs from wireless technology in that a proprietary USB receiver is no longer needed for each wireless component, as the Bluetooth adapter is capable of processing Bluetooth signals from all Bluetooth components. When a PCI Express Bluetooth card is used, the card is located inside the computer itself, eliminating the overhang created by wireless USB receivers.
