How to Split Digital Cable to Another Television thumbnail
It's simple to split a digital signal to another television.

Digital technology has brought literally hundreds of television channels and greatly improved picture and sound quality to our television sets. The hardware used works in a way similar to older analog equipment. It's easy to split your digital signal to two or more televisions in your house in much the same way you would with coaxial cable.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit your local electrical store or go online and buy an HDMI splitter cable and two standard HDMI cables of the necessary length to reach your two television sets.

    • 2

Connect the male end of the splitter cable to the HDMI out port of your receiver or other unit and connect the two HDMI cables to the female outputs of the splitter.

    • 3

Run one HDMI cable to each television and connect to the respective HDMI in port. Your signal is now split and both sets will receive the digital signal from your receiver or other unit.
