How to Enable Tabbed Browsing in Yahoo

Before later versions of Internet Explorer introduced the tabbed browsing feature, you could use tabbed browsing if you had the Yahoo! Toolbar installed. The Yahoo! Toolbar provided tabbed browsing for Internet Explorer versions 5.5 and 6.0. If you are using a newer version, the tabbed feature is not available, nor is it necessary as Internet Explorer now has it built in. Before using the Yahoo! tabbed browsing, you'll need to enable the feature.

      Open Internet Explorer. Verify that you have the Yahoo! Toolbar installed. If you don't, visit Yahoo! to download and install it (see Resources).

      Click on the Yahoo! "Pencil" icon on the Yahoo! Toolbar. This brings up the settings menu.

      Click on "Toolbar Options." Scroll down to "More Options." Click the box next to "Enable Tabbed Browsing." This puts a check in the box, which activates the feature.

      Click "OK." The tabbed browsing with the Yahoo! Toolbar is now enabled.
