How to Download Things Faster on Firefox
Web browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox use multiple connections to construct Web pages. One connection, for example, might retrieve images while another downloads HTML. When you request a download file, the browser usually uses a single connection or server to get it. One way to speed up downloads is to use a download accelerator. Download accelerators split files into multiple segments. A separate connection downloads each segment. You can speed up your Firefox downloads by adding a third-party accelerator.
