How to Burn an MPEG to DVD With Software
If you watch videos on an MPEG player and you'd like to burn them to discs for a DVD player, use file-converting and disc-burning software to create playable DVDs. DVD players play DVDs written in MPEG-2 format and CDs in MPEG-1 format. If your video is already encoded in MPEG-2 format, you won't need to convert it for DVD playback. If you have MPEG-1 or MPEG-4 videos, you can convert and burn them with a single program.
