How to Shine Military Boots

The military requires soldiers to keep their boots polished.

The military requires all soldiers to keep their uniforms clean and looking their best. This includes keeping their boots clean and polished. Military boots can be easily polished using basic black shoe polish, brushes and a cotton towel or t-shirt. Polishing should be done on a regular basis.

Things You'll Need

• Stiff brush
• Soft brush
• Shoe polish
• T-shirt or cotton towel
• Water

Instructions

1. Remove dirt and debris from the boot by brushing it with a stiff brush or by using a cloth.

2. Apply a layer of shoe polish to the boot, using a small stiff brush.

3. Shine the boot by lightly brushing the surface with a soft brush.

4. Rub the entire surface of the boot using small, circular motions with a wet cotton towel or T-shirt.

5. Rub the entire surface of the boot again, using a slightly-damp towel.

6. Rub a dry and clean towel across the surface of the boot, holding one side in each hand. Continue to pull the towel back and forth until you reach the desired shine.
