How to Send a Text From Gmail
One of the latest features added to Google's Gmail is the ability to send text messages from the Gmail inbox. This feature is not enabled by default; to send a text message from your Gmail account, you'll first need to enable the feature. Then you can send text messages. Be aware that sending messages may result in charges for the recipient, so make sure you have their permission before doing so.
