How to Change the Windshield Wipers on a Kia Rio
The Kia Rio is a subcompact car manufactured by Korean automaker Kia Motors. The windshield wipers, as on all cars, will break down over time and need replacement. Sunlight causes the rubber in the wipers to dry out and crack, which causes the wipers to stop performing their job well. Changing the windshield wiper involves removing the old wiper blade and sliding the new blade onto the windshield wiper arm.

Pull the windshield wiper arms up and away from the windshield.

Depress the spring clip at the end of the wiper arm where it meets the blade. Slide the blade along the arm and towards the car until it can be pulled free of the arm.

Slide the end of the wiper arm through the center of the new blade and then up slide the clip up against the wiper arm.

Depress the clip while you slide the blade along the wiper arm out towards its end until the clip locks in place.

Repeat the process for the other old windshield wiper blade and the back window, if your Rio has a rear wiper.

Tips & Warnings
Under normal usage, you should replace the both windshield wiper blades simultaneously to prevent uneven wiping and streaking in the center of your windshield.
