How to Use Large Velcro Rollers
Velcro rollers are simple and effective styling tools that give hair major body and volume. Large Velcro rollers add even more bounce, and on long hair, they can be used to create cascading waves. Things You'll Need
- Set of large Velcro rollers
- Blow dryer
- Hair brush
- Hairspray
- Volumizing product
- Hair Gel
- Hair clips
- Smoothing serum (optional)

Lift damp or dry, clean hair at the roots and spray with a volumizing product, especially if you have fine or limp locks. Rub a dollop of medium to extra-hold hair gel between palms and apply evenly to hair to ensure that your style stays put. Use a round brush to smooth out strands before using Velcro rollers.

Take two- to three-inch sections of hair and wrap each section around a large Velcro roller, starting with the top layer of hair. You should be able to fit three to five 3-inch diameter rollers from the front to back of your head. Continue winding sections of hair around the Velcro rollers, starting at the ends and going all the way to the roots, making sure that they're lifted up and away from the scalp. Secure rollers with hair clips or bobby pins at the base of the roller and close to the scalp.

Blow dry rolled-up hair with warm air all over, pointing the nozzle downward toward locks and focusing on roots. Let hair continue to air dry for up to 20 minutes; 10 minutes should be enough if you have fine hair. Blast hair again with the blow dryer, this time using the cold setting, then spray hair with a medium-hold hairspray.

Remove the Velcro rollers one by one, starting with the bottom layer of hair. Use fingers to lightly tousle and fluff hair to give additional lift. For one last volume boost, flip hair over for 30 seconds and flip back up.

Tips & Warnings
If you have thick or coarse hair, you can swap the standard hair gel used in Step 1 for a smoothing shine serum to get a sleeker look.
For quicker styling, use Velcro rollers only on the top layer of hair, making sure to smooth bottom layers with a brush.
