How to Reset a Wiper Blade on an Audi

Occasionally, the wiper blades on the Audi vehicle will need to be reset or replaced because of wear or damage to the blades. It is recommended that your wiper blades for the Audi be reset approximately every six months. The Audi wiper blades are part of the vehicle's overall safety system and well-maintained wiper blades can prevent a hazard while driving in rainy or inclement weather. You can reset the wiper blades yourself, saving you time and money.

Instructions

1. Lift the windshield wiper arm up so it is at a 90-degree angle to the Audi windshield. Locate the locking clip in the center of the wiper arm rail.

2. Pry the metal clip up with a screwdriver and slide the clip forward until it comes loose from the metal rail on the wiper arm. Lift the wiper blade out of the metal wiper arm rail by hand. Dispose of the old wiper blade.

3. Slide the new windshield wiper blade into the metal arm rail. Place the metal clip over the end of the rail.

4. Move the clip back over the metal wiper arm rail until it slides into the notch in the rail. Lock the clip down by hand to secure the wiper blade to the arm rail.

5. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for the other Audi windshield wiper blade.
