How to Make a Moving Background for Windows

The Microsoft Windows desktop background is an image file that provides a backdrop upon which the desktop icons sit; it can be changed by the user. Windows does not accept animated images to be used as backgrounds, however; only static images files are allowed. A way around this requirement is to use the program "Vital Desktop" to use Windows screen saver files as desktop backgrounds. This allows you to effectively create a moving background.
