How to Clear All Internet Activity on Shutdown
Internet History is a record of where you've been online and what sites you've visited. Usually, you want to keep the history because it helps you remember what sites you'd like to visit in the future. However, if you are a private person, or if you use a shared computer, you might want to set your Internet history so it doesn't save. You can do this so that the Internet History is cleared whenever you close the browser or whenever you shut down the computer.

1
Locate your Internet Options for the browser you use. There are lots of different browsers. Most will have a menu or a drop down menu you can see when you have a web page open. Click on the menu and find "Options" or "History."

2
Look through the History options. Each browser will have different options, but they will all have a box to check or uncheck that says "Save Internet History" or "Delete History." Read through the options and check or uncheck the box to NOT save the history. Some browsers might have more specific choices, such as "Save history for five days" or "Save history for one hour" or "Do not save history." Make sure you check whatever option your browser gives you for not saving history. Then, when you close the web browser or shut down the computer, the history will not be saved.

Repeat this process for each of the browsers you use. Then double-check your main "Internet Options" box located in your Control Panel. There should be a choice for saving history in this option box too. Turn it off.
