The D-Link Router Won't Allow Diablo 2 to Network
Published by Blizzard Entertainment in 2000, Diablo II is a highly popular fantasy role-playing game. While the gameplay of both the single-player and multiplayer is nearly the same, the multiplayer component of Diablo II is played via LAN or Battle-Net. If you are using a D-Link brand router and are having problems playing multiplayer, you will need to allow Battle-Net communication. You can allow program communication by creating an application rule.
