How to Remove an Engine Mount
Engine mounts are what secure the engine to the frame of the vehicle and keep the engine from shaking and vibrating. The vehicle will not operate correctly if the engine mounts are bent or worn. Also, the engine can cause serious damage to the components inside the engine and that will cost you a lot of money. You need mechanical experience to remove an engine mount correctly without hurting yourself or the vehicle.

Raise the vehicle's front end, using the jack, and lower it onto two vehicle support stands. Get under the engine block so you are looking up at the bottom of the engine.

Loosen the bolts that secure the mounts to the frame using the ratchet set. The mounts are in each corner of the engine, between the engine and the frame.

Place the jack under the oil pan and place the wood block between the oil pan and the jack. Raise the engine slightly using the jack.

Remove the bolt from the engine mount using the ratchet set. Pull the mount off of the frame.
