How to Bake Raw Salmon
Instead of frying salmon on the stove top, you can bake it in the oven slowly to make an easy meal. Slow-roasting salmon prevents it from drying out. Salmon fillets are a healthy alternative for a meal because they're low in saturated fat and high in vitamin D, protein and omega 3 fatty acids. Heat the oven to a temperature of 225 degrees Fahrenheit.

Coat a baking sheet with olive oil. Place the salmon fillet on its skin onto an oiled baking sheet.

Season the fillet with salt and pepper.

Place a broiler pan on the bottom rack of the oven. Fill it halfway with water.

Place the baking sheet with the salmon above the broiler pan.

Bake the salmon in the oven for an hour or until it cooks thoroughly.

Remove the salmon from the oven. Inspect the salmon to make sure it's cooked. It should flake and have a reddish-pink hue.

Bake the salmon faster by cooking it at 450 degrees for 15 minutes.
