How to Remove Obsolete Calendar Items From Outlook

When you create appointments or accept meeting requests in the Microsoft Office Outlook application, you may have duplicate calendar items. If you have duplicates of items in the Outlook program or any other types of obsolete calendar items, you can manually remove them at any time. It's important that you only select the items you want to delete and that you don't remove any important calendar items when completing the process.

      Click "Start" on the Taskbar and select the "All Programs" option.

      Double-click the "Microsoft Outlook" application and it will open.

      Click the "Calendar" option from the left navigation pane. Select the "View" drip-down menu from the top of the page.

      Move your cursor over the "Current View" option in the menu and click the "By Category" option.

      Click the "Categories: (none)" option. Locate the calendar item that you no longer want to appear in the calendar.

      Hold the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard if you want to select more than one obsolete calendar item. Press the "Delete" key and the calendar item will be removed.
