The United States Mint in Washington D.C. currently does not offer public tours because it is the mint's headquarters and not a production facility. Instead, the Washington D.C. site offers a retail sales outlet in the lobby that is open to the public. If you wish to tour a production facility, the United States Mint provides free public tours at both its Philadelphia and Denver locations.

Arrive at the United States Mint headquarters at 801 9th Street, N.W., in Washington, D.C.

Enter the lobby of the building, where you will find a large selection of coin products. Items for sale include commemorative and annual coins, state quarters, collector maps and medals.

Browse, shop and ask questions of the knowledgeable staff.
