How to Clean Severely Burned Stainless Steel Pots
There are many different cleaning processes that must be employed to keep your kitchen free of germs and contaminants, as well as looking its best. Different cleaning processes are needed for different types of kitchen appliances and utensils, and for different surfaces in your kitchen. For example, one issue with stainless steel pots is that they can become scorched. Food can even get burnt onto the pot's surface. Place the burned stainless steel pot on your stove burner and turn the heat all the way up. Periodically add a drop of water until is sizzles.

Loosen up some of the burnt food and residue with a wooden spoon. Remove the pot from the heat and allow it to cool.

Fill the bottom of the stainless steel pot with water and add about 2 tbsp. of baking soda. Allow it to sit for two or three hours.

Empty the water and scrub the bottom of the pan with the rough side of a sponge to remove the remaining burnt food and residue.
