Instructions

    • 1

Use a black light to see if any of the pet odors on your wool rug are being caused by urine. Make a note of where the urine is located or mark it with chalk.

    • 2

Use paper towels to soak up any liquid, such as urine or vomit. Press on the paper towels and continue the process until you've soaked up all the liquid you can.

    • 3

Rinse the soiled area with clean water. Then, continue to blot with paper towels until most of that liquid has been absorbed.

    • 4

Extract the remainder of the water from your wool carpet by using a wet/dry shop vac.

    • 5

Spray a high quality pet odor neutralizer over the entire carpet, paying special attention to the areas that you know have been soiled.

    • 6

Use a soft cloth to gently scrub in the pet odor neutralizer all over the carpet. Scrub a little more vigorously in areas that you know have been soiled.

    • 7

Rinse the area where you sprayed additional cleaner with clean water. Blot up most of this water with paper towels.

    • 8

Use your wet/dry shop vac to extract any remaining liquid from your large wool rug.
