How to Capture High-Definition YouTube Videos
YouTube is an online video sharing site that is popular. Google bought out the video site and now owns YouTube. High definition videos are becoming more popular as video cards in computers improve. YouTube has offered watching high definition videos (often shorted to HD videos) for a little while now, and now there are services that allow you to download those HD videos so you can watch them offline.

Capturing with Keepvid

Visit the YouTube video you wish to capture and right-click on the address in the address bar. Select "Copy" from the menu that appears.

Navigate to the Keepvid website (see Resources).

Right-click inside the box next to the word "Download" and select "Paste" from the menu that appears.

Click the "Download" button and the site will load a Java applet to download the video. When you see the words "High Definition," click on that link and the site will capture the YouTube video in HD for you and download it to your computer.
Capturing with KissYouTube

Visit the YouTube video you wish to capture in HD format.

Click the address bar and add the word "kiss" in the address in front of "youtube" in the URL and press the "Enter" button.

Click on the button labeled "HD" at the bottom of the KissYoutube Web page and it will capture the video you've selected in HD format and allow you to download it.
Capturing with Savevid

Navigate to the YouTube video you wish to capture in high definition format and right-click on the address of the video. Select "Copy" from the right-click menu.

Navigate to the Savevid website (see Resources).

Click in the box next to the word "Download" with the right mouse button and select "Paste" from the right-click menu. Then, click the "Download" button.

Click on the link labeled "High Definition" when it appears and the site will capture your selected video in HD format and download it to your computer.
