How to Stop GPS Tracking
E-911 or enhanced 911 is a system adopted by the Federal Communications Commission that makes use of the GPS system. Its main intention is to track the location of the person calling 911 so she can be located. However, some people feel that this is can be an invasion of privacy due to its potential for abuse. If you feel this way, then there are ways to stop GPS tracking.

Turn Off GPS

Turn your phone on and go to the "Main Menu."

Find "Settings" and go to "GPS Settings."

Find "GPS Location" or "GPS Services" and turn it off. You can also set it to "Emergency Only" mode.
Remove the GPS Antenna

Turn your mobile phone off. Slide the back cover off, and remove the battery and SIM (subscriber identity module) card. Use the screwdriver to open the casing. This will expose the circuit board.

Find the GPS antenna. This is a small piece of wire attached to the circuit board. Slowly and gently pry off the antenna. Be careful not to damage any of the other parts.

Replace the screws and reassemble your phone. Replace your battery and SIM card, and turn the phone back on.

Tips & Warnings
Be careful you do not remove the Bluetooth antenna while trying to remove the GPS antenna. If you are unfamiliar with the device, then you can go to a mobile phone repair store and have them remove the GPS antenna for you.
