How to Remove Yahoo From the URL Search Bar in Firefox

If you don't enjoy the Yahoo! Toolbar, remove it.

Firefox has the ability to install extensions that increase the functionality of the browser. Some extensions can help when you are searching for something, like the Yahoo! Toolbar. Sometimes, however, these extensions can be installed without you knowing when you install other programs. If that is the case, or you just want to get rid of it, removing the Yahoo! Toolbar will leave you with the default option.

  Click on the "Pencil" icon on the toolbar.

  Click "Uninstall," enter the reason why you are uninstalling and then click "Uninstall" again.

  Restart your browser once prompted to. The search bar will no longer be there.
