How to Finalize a Mini DVD Recorder

Recording video directly to DVD with a camcorder or mini-DVD recorder it is not simply a matter of pushing record and stop. Tips & Warnings
The time required to finalize a mini-DVD will vary depending on how much material has been recorded. The shorter the amount of media recorded on your mini-DVD, the longer it will take to finalize. If you are using a mini-DVD camera as your DVD recorder, be sure to plug it into the AC power adapter. Finalizing might take a long time and require a lot of energy.
Once finalizing has started, it cannot be stopped without risking damage to the data. Do not vibrate or shock the camcorder while it is finalizing. Do not remove the power source until the finalizing is complete.
